It wasn’t a bloodthirsty alien monster that put Duke Nukem co-creator George Broussard in the hospital last week—but the stroke that did was every bit as scary. Just not so scary that he couldn't tweet while it was happening.

Headed for MRI. Blood drawn. Poked and prodded. Speech still slurred. Fine in ll other areas. Scared.

Saw neurologist. Definitely had mild stroke. Speech bad but will recover. Will be admitted to hospital for 2-3 days for tests now. Sucks

It was just a matter of time, though, before a flash of the gritty, action-hero humor that makes Broussard’s video game franchise such a beloved phenomenon shone through.
