You never know what you’ll witness in L.A.: a famous celebrity, someone defacing Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star, or a car chase so absurd it seems straight out of out Grand Theft Auto V.
Thursday’s two hour-long pursuit began when someone reported a residential burglary in Cerritos. Soon police were following two suspects as they drove through rain in a Ford Mustang convertible with the top down.
But instead of simply stepping on the gas, the driver—who gave not a single fuck—did multiple donuts on busy Sunset Boulevard.
Later, a TMZ tour bus obliviously cut off these two dudes as they were trying to enjoy the remaining minutes of their freedom. Ultimately, the car lost a tire and the men were apprehended, but not before getting hugs and high-fives from bystanders (and taking a few selfies).“I have been involved in a lot of pursuits but I haven’t seen anything quite like that,” said Dennis Zine, a former city councilman and LAPD officer, to the Los Angeles Times. “The high-fives at the end were ridiculous.”May you live on in Internet infamy, dudes.
