Eric Trump discovers memes, thinks 'The Sopranos' took place in New York

Wax mannequin-American Eric Trump has been a diligent supporter of his father Donald's presidential campaign this election cycle. He's also just discovered memes. What's a rich guy with too much time on his hands to do? Why, take some topical political fodder and blend it with a classic HBO drama that everyone has seen. Everyone except for Eric, of course.

You might want to sit yourself down and get familiar with this disaster of a tweet, which may effectively start a gang war between mafia factions:

Major spoiler alert: The Sopranos took place in New Jersey. Hell, the show's opening credits depict our (anti-)hero Tony Soprano getting the fuck out of New York City. You watch him drive out of the Lincoln Tunnel and onto the New Jersey Turnpike. Goddammit, dude.

You don't even have to follow the plot or even take a passing interest in one of the greatest dramas of all time to understand that The Sopranos is not a New York show. New York values either don't include geography lessons and basic reading compression or simply mean fleeing the Big Apple.

Some patient Twitter teachers tried to help Eric understand that the Garden State isn't some type of weird extension of New York, hanging off its underside like a pesky plantar wart:

Others just didn't give enough of a shit to correct him. They took the "beloved show + erroneous location" formula and made it all their own. Here, have a Northern Exposure meme and vote for Ted Cruz or something:

According to a Monmouth Poll released the same day as this shitty mistake of a tweet, Donald Trump is polling at 52 percent. As the Donald himself has proven, no amount of idiotic Trump tweeting can sabotage his lead.
