Rowan County clerk Kim Davis is having a bad week.
After denying a marriage license to couple David V. Moore and David Ermold, Davis found herself in the epicenter of a media shitstorm. She was found in contempt of court, and now she’s sitting in a jail cell.
But you know who else isn’t having the best week? The woman who sits next to Kim Davis at work. While Melissa Thomas hasn’t said much about her neighbor’s controversy, someone created a parody Twitter account that attempts to capture what’s going through her mind.
Right now, Thomas is probably thinking that she’s getting more than she bargained for.Not only is Davis bad at her job, it seems: She’s also a shitty coworker.She also tried to engage with some #brands and get other perks.
But the real Melissa Thomas is not particularly amused by the joke. She told the Courier Journal that she’s seen the Twitter account and would never say such things—“not with that language.”As we’ve learned from Davis, you have to stand for something.
