Winnipeg murder suspect kept tweeting until his arrest

A murder suspect showed a brazen attitude as he continued to tweet about drug use and taunt law enforcement in the months between his alleged crime and his arrest.

Devin Kingsley Hall, 26, was last week charged with first degree murder, attempted murder, and several firearms offenses in the shooting of two men inside Winnipeg, Manitoba, restaurant Salisbury House early on Sept. 27. One of the victims died of his injuries.

Between that fateful day and his arrest last Thursday, Hall continued to tweet about his life, according to the Winnipeg Sun. Those tweets included photos of drug paraphernalia, updates about smoking marijuana, and attacks on the justice system.

In December, Hall apparently cursed out police in the town and slammed the Manitoba justice system. He suggested he was ready to leave town and bragged about the money he makes.

Lawyer Brian Bowman, who specializes in social media issues, told the Sun the tweets and photos will have to pass standard admissibility tests before they can be used as evidence.

Hall's Twitter account appears to have since been deleted.
